Terms of Service

1. Service Agreement:

By engaging with our moving services, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between Otium Moving Services and the Customer.

2. Booking and Confirmation:

  • All bookings are subject to availability.
  • A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit or full payment as per the company's policy.
  • Changes to the booking must be communicated to the company at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled moving date which could incur additional charges.

3. Pricing and Payment:

  • The pricing structure is outlined in the quotation provided to the Customer.
  • Additional charges may apply for services not included in the initial quotation or for any changes made to the original booking.
  • Payment is due before completion of the move unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

4. Cancellation and Refunds:

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled moving date may be subject to a cancellation fee.
  • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed in accordance with the company's refund policy.

5. Liability and Insurance:

  • While utmost care is taken during the moving process, the company will not be liable for any loss or damage to the Customer's property unless caused by negligence or willful misconduct of the Company.
  • The Customer is responsible for ensuring that valuable or fragile items are adequately packed and labeled.
  • While the company takes utmost care In moving your items, the Company is not liable for unforeseen circumstances like disasters.
  • Any claims for loss or damage must be reported in writing within a reasonable timeframe after the completion of the move.

6. Force Majeure:

The company shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under this agreement due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, or government actions.

7. Customer Responsibilities:

  • The Customer must ensure that access to the property is clear and that any necessary permits or permissions for parking or entry are obtained in advance.
  • The Customer must provide accurate information regarding the items to be moved and any special requirements.

8. Dispute Resolution:

  • Any disputes arising out of or relating to this agreement shall be resolved through negotiation in good faith between the parties.
  • If the parties are unable to reach a resolution, the dispute may be referred to mediation or arbitration as per the laws governing this agreement.

9. Governing Law:

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where the move happened.

10. Entire Agreement:

These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
